Richard Benjamin Ferrell, ("RICK"), U.S. baseball player, 1929-47, and Hall of Fame catcher who covered home plate while his younger brother, Wes, ruled the pitcher’s mound for the Boston Red Sox, 1934-37, and Washington Senators, 1937-38 (b. Oct. 12, 1905--d. July 27, 1995).
